I am insecure to the degree I keep parts of myself hidden from myself. Insecurity can mean I know how I operate but don’t think it’s good enough. To hide is to be obscure. The security in that is consciously exposing only what one can handle as far as opposition or judgement. This painting emanates a hidden desire for a deeper reality of the true self.
